These were sold as economy work trucks and here is a great example of what working people wanted in the day that has survived the decades unscathed.

The present owner has spent over $13,000 the past years covering paint, interior and replacement parts in bringing the Ranchero to it’s present condition, not counting his labor, He did a little upgrading, the drum brakes from 4 bolt to 5 bolt pattern, a set of American Racing Mags and a modern Stereo. Along the way, Mark kept a detail log book with the parts and cost associated with the build which will go with the car to it’s new owner. Included also are the receipts which collected along the way and it’s car cover.
