2001 BMW Z3 3.0 Roadster

This 2001 BMW Z3 Roadster is blessed with the 3.0 6-Cylinder engine and 5-Speed Transmission. The 3.0 version of car it replaced ended up weighting the same as the earlier 2.8 model but with a lower ratio rear end ended up actually getting better fuel mileage, rated at 28mph Freeway. Both engines are a far cry from the 1.9 4-Cylinder car’s performance package and really bring out the sporting car behavior promised by the BMW badge.
With the 3.0 I-6, 0-60mph was around 5.5 seconds, pretty good for when sold new. Brakes set the standard in the day, really wonderful on the short test drive I took for taking images. The car was is a hoot, thank goodness I did not know about the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) or how to defeat it till I read up on about it. It has the power top option and CD Player as factory options.
The car is being sold as part of an estate we are working with. There is a small repair to the fabric top on the driver’s side, almost unnoticeable. Rear tires look to be about 80%, the fronts 50%. It drives wonderfully and is a ticket looking for a place to happen. It is quick!
